Managed advance teams and coordinated travel logistics for candidate, surrogates and staff, was Responsible for booking venues, managing travel, preparing background memos and performing event briefings. Dusty Trice also Planned and managed field events, visibility, conventions and tours. and was in charge of recount logistics, including ground staff communications, material distribution and ballot collection.
Prior to that Dusty Trice was the Regional Field Director in Minnesota's 3rd Congressional District for the Minnesota Democratic Farmer Labor Party (DFL). Trice managed two Coordinated Campaign offices and three off-site phonebanks, supervised district field organizers and was responsible for field events, voter file and database management, voter contact reports and activist trainings.
In 2006 Dusty Trice worked for the Democratic National Committee DNC as a Regional Field Director, working for Howard Dean's 50 State Strategy. Dusty organized local political and field operations on the Congressional District level and in 12 legislative districts. He also compiled quarterly district political analysis, research and statistics reports for the DNC Field Director and worked on the pre-primary field program, preparing party building resources and staff for the general election.
In 2005 Dusty Trice was the campaign manager for Smart Growth in Fargo, ND. He managed a successful grassroots special election campaign and GOTV efforts, garnering 71% of the vote and was accountable for fundraising, budget development, press strategy, voter contact and campaign finance reporting.
In the 2004 election cycle Dusty worked for Congressman Earl Pomeroy performing voter outreach, including doorknocks, phonebanks, volunteer recruitment, absentee voting and GOTV. Trice also monitored statewide radio, newspapers and TV for candidate mentions and local issues pertinent to the campaign.
Dustin Trice has also campaigned for the DCCC Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee helping with the Stephanie Herseth special election campaign in South Dakota and canvassed for the North Dakota Dem-NPL Coordinated Campaign. He has also worked for Metropolitan State University in the College of Management as the Assistant to the Dean and as an on-air Board Operator at North Dakota Public Radio. He was also cohost of Minnesota Matters on Air America AM950 KTNF.
