Many mothers find it necessary to go back to school in hopes of bettering their education now days, but they have special responsibilities when they have small children. They must find someone whom they can rely on to care for their kids while they work and attend school. Especially in the case of single moms, when there is no one else in the household who can help out, moms find the added expense of child care to be too much in many instances.

Scholarship programs are very valuable when it comes to paying for their courses and most, if not all, of their college related expenses such as books and course materials. But there never seems to be enough to cover paying someone to either come to the children's home or take them to the sitter's house or a trusted child care facility. One answer that has proven to be extremely successful is having available child care at the college or university the mom attends. Schools that provide some form of child care find their students who are mothers are also models of attendance.

There are also state funded grants that can help pay for child care so moms who want that education can do so while knowing their children will be cared for in a manner appropriate to them. Between the Scholarships program and state grant money to help with child care, many moms find they can now afford to attend college and get that degree they have needed to finally locate a better paying job. Grant money is, of course, one expense that never needs to be paid back.

Women who are interested in child care assistance should check with their college student finance center for applications and more information. The Scholarships for Moms Program info can also be obtained there. Mothers really cannot afford not to get a degree because they may well double their income once they have it.
