subject: Want To Learn Precisely How High Intensity Interval Training Could Make It Easier To Burn Excess Fat [print this page] If you've been looking to lose fat, and you've done any research at all, you may have come across HIIT as a method of fat loss.
If you keep reading then you'll find out exactly what High Intensity Interval Training is and how it can help you to burn fat.
The first thing we should make sure we understand is that HIIT is an acronym for High Intensity Interval Training. Basically it is exactly what it sounds like, you do high intensity activity for intervals, and as a result you get a huge caloric burn. HIIT is so unbelievably effective because it lets your body rest just enough to sustain extremely high levels of activity. By taking rest periods between intervals you're also permitting yourself to work harder.
As you've probably figured out by now, HIIT is just a fancy way of saying sprints.
For instance let's say that you're running at a local track and you're ready to do this type of training...You would start by running a full 100m... Walk around the track and repeat your sprint once you've come back to your starting point. You could do about 5 of those, just make sure that you sprint as hard as you can!
Now, of course HIIT can also be used in just about anything else, just make sure that you get an adequate amount of interval time. Here's an example if you want to try this same thing, but on a bike: For biking, let's see...I'd probably do something like 1 minute on then 3 minutes off. And as opposed to only 5 sprints I would do six or seven.
Again, the same thing for a row machine. I'd try 45 seconds of sprinting and then probably only 2 minutes of rest. Because both biking and rowing are a little less intensive on your body you can afford to rest less and sprint longer.
If you do these HIIT routines a couple times a week you'll start to see some serious fat loss. Simply keep in mind that HIIT works better the harder you sprint.
