If you need to shift the bed to some other place, don't move it as a whole structure. Disassemble it properly, and carry the disassembled parts to the new location where you can again assemble your bunk bed again with help of your assembly sheet. Refrain from using substitute parts to assemble your bed. They might lead to weak points in your design. Also during any subsequent reassemble, ensure that you do not miss out any parts. Do not neglect even a minor bolt.

In case of wood loft beds, regularly check the contact points and the change in wood over a period of time. In case of rugged contacts, the bed frame may give up from certain portion. Dust and polish your bunk bed regularly. In case of futon bunk beds, ensure that you don't end up with a botched futon which is not usually debunked.

Watch out for bent parts in case of metal bunk beds. If any such bent is found, contact a professional and get it fixed without fail. Be particularly careful about the supporting poles. After certain lapse of time, your poles might wear out from base. Ensure that you restore them properly. Make it a point to check your ladder contacts with the upper level.
