Laptop which is also called a notebook is a computer which has been designed to be made portable. It includes a battery for portable power and a touchpad instead of a mouse for input of data. Net book is Mini laptop which is smaller in size and weight and similar to the diary. It is cheaper than a standard laptop. The basic difference between laptop and net book is that a net book is smaller, lighter, cheaper and simpler than a laptop. Net book RAM is available in many brands. People who want a simple machine to do their word processing and read email will definitely favor a net book over a standard notebook, but unfortunately most notebooks come with a maximum of 1GB RAM but now some brands have designed 2GB SO-DIMM memory which can be used as Net book RAM that support 533MHz memory which is compatible with MSI Wind, Asus Eee and Gigabyte range. Net book RAM of 1 GB costs $35.

The procedures to install Net book RAM:

1. Choose the right RAM.

2. Switch off the computer and remove the battery from the net book.

3. Then remove access door to memory.

4. Push two metal tabs from memory stick and it will pop up.

5. Pull out 1 GB and replace with the 2 GB stick.

6. Push the RAM until metal clips click, re insert the battery and boot up the net book.

7. To bring up the system properties box and check the new memory is recognized and if it does then it is done.
