subject: Lady Antebellum Tickets - Lady Antebellum Giving Back In The Big Apple [print this page]

Lady Antebellum is currently on tour, and The Boot reports that the country-fried trio will deliver a special performance in New York on Oct. 13. When in the Big Apple, Lady A will perform a show for Musicians on Call (MOC), an organization dedicated to bringing music right to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. Lady Antebellum will deliver an intimate show at New York's City Winery as part of MOC's Month of Music series of fundraisers, which take place in New York and Nashville throughout October.

MOC's Executive Director. Dr. Leslie Faerstein told The Boot, "MOC prides itself on working with the most talented and relevant artists in the music industry ... and Lady Antebellum certainly fits the bill. We're also extremely impressed by their thoughtfulness and generosity. They are really going above and beyond to make the evening unforgettable for their fans." Lady A follows in the footsteps of artists like John Mayer, Seal and James Taylor, who have all partnered with MOC in the past.

Lady A fans that can't be in the Big Apple for the Grammy-winning trio's MOC gig can still get Lady Antebellum tickets to catch the tour this fall. Lady Antebellum has tour dates lined up in cities like Augustine, Fla.; Cary, N.C.; Bloomsburg, Pa.; New York, N.Y.; Saint Louis, Mo.; Louisville, Ky.; Boston, Mass.; Salisbury, Md.; Milwaukee, Wis.; Salt Lake City, Utah; Chattanooga, Tenn.; Chicago, Ill. and more through late November. While on tour, Lady A will also perform at BayFest 2010, held in Mobile, Ala. in October.

One song that Lady Antebellum is playing on the road is their latest chart-topping single, "Our Kind of Love." The Boot reports that the song, the latest single off the trio's multi-platinum album Need You Now, is currently reigning on the Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase country charts. It was only one year ago that Lady Antebellum scored their first No. 1 single with "I Run to You," and Lady A's Charles Kelly told The Boot that the group was pinching themselves when that happened! "There's so much support that we've felt, honestly. We recognize too that it takes a lot of people and a lot of work behind it, and a lot of champions. And we definitely feel the love from everybody," said Kelly.

"Our Kind of Love" is Lady Antebellum's third straight No. 1 single from Need You Now (the other two being the title track and "American Honey.") Speaking to The Boot, Kelly revealed that just because you've penned one hit single doesn't mean the formula works for another. "The best songs are the ones where you're not trying. So, the hardest thing for us was to go out there and say, 'Let's write to write. Let's not try to write a radio hit. Let's not try to write this song.' That was a challenge," Kelly said. Looks like it was a challenge that Kelly and his bandmates Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott were up to!
