As the people during vacations spend most of the day under the hot sun in the beach or by just roaming around, chances of eye infections are more. It is always suggested that people, who start with such vacations may undergo an eye checkup before the trip. Sunlight includes harmful ultraviolet rays also known as the UV rays. These rays are extremely hazardous not only for the skin, but also for the eyes.

Another vital thing is to follow a proper diet. In fact, you can ask your doctor regarding the diets that you can follow on every season. During summer, make sure that you reduce the intake of spice and increase the fluid intake, as it helps to cool down the body temperature. The right diet in a balance proportion is a necessity in order to maintain a good health and keep the functioning of the vital organs such as eyes trouble free.

These important nutritious foods include the green vegetables, which are essential for the eyesight and are very useful in eliminating any kind of eyesight issues. The other food items are nuts, carrots and cod liver oil. People with eyesight problems are advised to have maximum intake of fluids such as juice of fresh fruits and vegetables.

In addition, ensure that your diet is free from excessive spice during the summer season, as it may spoil not only the functions of the eyesight, but can also damage the entire immune system making the body weak. On the other hand, increase the intake of fluids such as juice of carrot, cucumber and other green eatables. Another measure for eye care is to go for regular eye checkups, as this enables to stay away from various eyesight aliments.

It may sound a bit vivid for the present lifestyle, but getting proper rest and adequate sleep helps in proper maintenance of the eyesight. In fact, even experts suggest this as the basic practice, which helps in preserving the eyesight without any troubles.

A minimum of seven to eight hours of sleep is prescribed for good eye care and for proper functioning of the body. Washing the eyes with clean and cold water at the end of the day during the summers will certainly help to keep the eyes dirt free and cool.
