subject: Getting Good Grades Without More Work [print this page]

If you go to school, you're always put under a lot of stress, that's normal. It's not only school for school, but school for life. Later on, you will also have to deal with many different types of stress and pressure, and that's a good training for these moments later on. However, you can do it a little easier as well. Getting good grades is hard sometimes because, let's face it, you do have a lot of other obligations besides school that you have to take care off, and sometimes you just don't have enough time, or you have other things on your mind which keep you from doing what you should be doing: Study better! But studying better to get good grades is not necessarily the same as studying harder.

There are a lot of people who put in countless hours of studying like madmen without the expected results, and this is because some just have a method that's better than others, and of course, efficiency is the key here, as with every other type of work. If you want to become successful in school, you will need to go on and to find a good method to get your work done smarter, not simply by adding hours to your work. And the way to do this is to look at how you are studying. Ask others what works best for them or how they think their mind is able to take in the information so fast, and you'll notice that they may well work differently from you. Try emulating their behavior, and do the same as they, or change the method to adapt it to your needs, but do something! If you look for information online, there are countless types of tips on how to get better grades easily, and you will certainly find what you're looking for, but you have to implement it as well. Just start somewhere, and in time you'll find the way which works best for you.

Now of course you need to be smart in this, so I will give you one of the most valuable advice I've ever heard on this topic. Start by determining your study type. There are people who are more focused on hearing, others on seeing, and again others on touching. So find out what brings the best results in memorization for you, and go to your room and study! Just try imagining the pictures you're trying to get into your head. Or imagine the texture you would feel with your fingers, or simply try saying your content out loud, and then repeating it until your ears cannot go on anymore. That way you'll find out which type you are, and you'll know which channels of your senses you will need to use in order to become better at studying, and you'll understand how you can get good grades! It's really not easy, that's clear, but so's life, so get over it and start working if you want to get something done. Be sure to check out the internet for different tips, too, but don't spend all your time looking for tips on how to do it, because that's not doing work. Once you find something interesting, use it, and if it doesn't work, try the next method!
