subject: Headaches Are Often Avoidable [print this page] What's the deal with so many people I know living with regular headaches? I really have tried to wrap my mind around how they are so common and why so many people don't get treatment for them. I just can't understand why someone would get used to them.
I have written this article in an attempt to help educate people on what can be done for their neck pain, headaches and migraines. Let's start with the basics, are you properly hydrated? Being dehydrated is the most common cause for headaches, it's also has the easiest solution. I mention this because it's some commonly over-looked as to the source of their pain.
The next type also very common, tension headaches from having tight neck muscles, joint misalignments, improper posture and slouching. These reasons will usually cause the typical office worker to experience tension headaches later in the work day. Often they drink alcohol to ease the pain, causing dehydration and forever continuing the viscous cycle.
It is my experience that people who are hydrated and sit up straight get far fewer headaches in life. They also seem to be more positive. I'm not sure if this is because they don't have headaches. Sometimes no matter how hard one tries to have good posture they can't do it. Spinal misalignments in the neck cause positions in the vertebrae and muscles attaching the them to be pulled in abnormal positions. This will very often cause headaches consistently . It's very simple to get checked to see if you indeed do have spinal misalignments and improper posture.
In conclusion, drink adequate water, sit up straight, get checked by your chiropractor, be positive and have appropriate desk ergonomics and the vast majority of people will no longer have chronic headaches.
