subject: How To Best Enjoy Your Sunday Afternoon [print this page]

Even if you aren't religious, you probably realize that Sunday afternoon is meant to be used for relaxing. After all, Monday is the start of the work week, and the last thing you want to do is let anxiety about going back to the office eat up your entire day, the last day of your precious time away from the office.

But what can you do on a Sunday afternoon that will truly help you relax? Well, that mostly depends on you, of course, but allow me to provide you with some great suggestions that I hope will generate more ideas for you and your family.

If the weather is right, get outdoors! There is nothing in the world like packing up some sandwiches, some juice boxes, and a blanket and finding a sunny spot in a local park. Take your camera along so that you can take snapshots of your family or the scenery.

If there isn't a park nearby, then go outside into the yard, on the balcony, or somewhere else. The point is simply to get some fresh air.

I love getting in the car and taking off on a Sunday. For some reason, there is something in the air that just begs me to go explore the areas in my neighborhood that are still new to me. Plus, I live close to two canyons, so there is always a view to see that changes with the seasons.

Rather than taking a drive, my uncle prefers to take a ride on his motorcycle. This is an exhilarating way to get outside and feel the wind in your hair, especially with the reduced amount of traffic on the roadway. However, if this is your method of relaxation, be sure to be safe -- always wear a helmet and leathers.
