Sudoku is a popular game that is played by millions throughout the world. Sudoku players often find it to be an addicting experience, always looking for a more challenging puzzle than the last one they did.

The main reason why people love sudoku puzzles so much, is because it makes people feel smart. Upon completion of a challenging sudoku puzzle, people often feel a sense of accomplishment and triumph. The fact that sudoku makes people feel good about themselves, is a big reason why people are so crazy over the popular game.

The sudoku puzzle itself, is a 9X9 column that is filled with the numbers one through nine. Each row has at least one number in it, and can have more as well. The objective is to place the missing numbers in the empty boxes. Each column must have the numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 in it only one time. As the puzzles get harder, it becomes more challenging to fit the numbers accordingly.

The sudoku puzzle is the equivalent to a crosswords puzzle, except using number instead of words. These logic games can be found in most newspapers. In most cases, the puzzles in the newspaper get harder as the week progresses, the same way crossword puzzles work in newspapers.

Many people buy sudoku books, which contain hundreds of sudoku puzzles. The puzzles start out with "easy" puzzles, but get harder as the book gets further along. These books can often be found in: waiting rooms, washrooms, libraries, and on your work desk. The point is, when people start doing sudoku puzzles, it becomes hard to stop trying to figure them out.

Many people believe that doing sudoku puzzles regularly, helps keep the mind sharp. Some say that it may even help fight off alzheimers, by keeping the brain in a cat-like readiness after years of keeping the brain active by completing sudoku puzzles. Whether true or not, sudoku does challenge its players, and forces them to keep their minds on-point.

The comparison to crossword puzzles i another reason why people are crazy about sudoku puzzles. Crossword puzzles have been a consensus favorite game for many years now, and sudoku puzzles are following in that path. The two logic games go hand in hand with each other. Often times, when people are finished the crossword puzzle in the newspaper, they will then focus their attention on the undone sudoku puzzle. Books are often sold that contain both crossword and sudoku puzzles. Both games are challenging and fun at the same time.
