subject: How Do Air Heat Exchangers Work In Industrial Environments [print this page]

What is an air heat exchanger? It is actually a fairly simple device that is charged with the task of transferring heat from one medium to another. Essentially this is an energy transfer, and it is used in many different devices today.

For example it is common to find this sort of energy transfer in refrigerators, space eaters, air conditioners, and even power plants. As you can imaging though, it is not a device that should be taken at face value by any means.

Essentially, the idea is to transfer stale air from an environment, and have it moved to a different area. In addition to that it will help keep an area cool. In other words, the idea is to keep the area clean and clear of any contamination or unbearable environmental factors.

In addition to keeping it comfortable, the air heat exchanger is also charged with keeping contaminants or pollutants out of a room. Essentially, it keeps it comfortable and safe, and in the end, owning one of these devices is definitely worth the cost. As far as the devices go however, there are two different types that you should be aware of.

First of all there are the parallel flow heat exchangers. Two fluids make entrance into the exchanger and move parallel throughout the entire process. Counter-flow heat exchangers however have the fluids entering from opposite ends and traveling in different directions. In moist cases people will choose to use the counter-flow models because they can transfer more heat.

The price of these units will vary depending on the type and quality as you can imagine. Some of the cheaper models will cost around $300, while others can be $1000 and higher. As we said, it all depends on the quality, and of course the brand.

These days, having one of these devices installed is almost essential for health and welfare, so make sure you have one installed in your home, as part of a configured set up. Of course, if you are running any type of business, it would be a good idea to ensure there are several installed if the surrounding area requires it.

Of course, these are usually components of a larger product and enclosed box or operating system. Therefore, you will not have to purchase these products separately as a consumer as they will already be part of a system like an air conditioning unit.

If you are ready to exist in a clean, healthy, and cooled environment, then you are ready to look into an air heat exchanger. It could make all the difference to your room or working environment.
