So with the weather a little mixed up at the moment, you should take some precautions before heading outdoors. You can give yourself some home tech support to help check out the weather.
If you have Windows Vista, you can view current temperature information on your desktop using the Windows Sidebar and the weather temperature gadget.
Note: There are two temperature gadgets. One's weather and the other one is for your CPU (see image). Just don't put sunscreen on your computer!

Getting your weather stuff
* Click on Start, type 'Windows Sidebar' and hit Enter
* Click on the small '+' sign that appears in the top right corner of your screen
* Drag the 'Weather' icon from the box to the grey area on the right of your screen. Release the icon into this area. (Not back into the wild, as some people do.)

* Move your cursor over the weather box that appears, click the spanner and type in your location (e.g. "Lower Woop Woop, Australia", "Buckley's Retreat, Australia" etc.,) and press OK.
