subject: Actress 'shocked' At Landing Modelling Job [print this page]

An actress has revealed her shock at landing a modelling job recently.

In news which may encourage those seeking work through modelling agencies, Audrina Patridge said she "can't believe" she has got the role as the face of Bongo jeans.

The Hills star, who is also a television host and has featured on reality TV, has won a contract with the revamped denim brand and stated her mum is thrilled to see her daughter fronting the clothes she used to wear three decades ago.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, the 25-year-old said: "I'm going to be a Bongo girl. I'm really excited, I can't believe it. It's such an iconic brand and has been since the 80s. When I told my mother she was so excited, because she used to wear their jeans when she was growing up."

Patridge went on to note her mum is "so proud" and pointed out that her modelling will not just be focussed on jeans as the firm has brought out an entire line, including dresses, hats, accessories, shoes and more.

She went on to joke that, in honour of the name of the company, she should learn how to play the bongos - which is something she cannot do at present. She even suggested she will pitch the idea to bosses of the organisation as part of an advertising campaign.

The star launched her career after moving to LA five years ago. While there, she got a role in The Hills and has not looked back since. She has also had a part in Into the Blue 2: The Reef and has appeared in the series Mad TV and Do Not Disturb.

And with her new modelling activities and various other TV and film possibilities on the horizon, it seems the world is very much her oyster at the moment.
