The second step is to place the end of the tape measure in the bottom part of your sink. After that, you need to rest this end on flat area that surrounding the drain. It is suggested for you to not measure from the drain itself. It is because this is actually from where you will start the measurement.

The third step that you should do is to extend your tape measurement upright to the straight edge until it can cross the straight edge. Lastly, in order to determine the depth of your sink, you have to take the measurement where your tape crosses the straight edge.
