subject: Making Your Way Into The Blue [print this page]

People probably already know the various things that the tropical Canary Island, Tenerife is popular for because that's why they choose it year after year. I personally need little reason or excuse to pack up and head away, my only true inspiration is that fact that I live in the UK. I'm sure that is true for many people because we have to endure long winters and short summers every year. I find endless hours of sun and windsurfing the days away a much more attractive proposition and I feel that it might interest many others too.

One of the lesser known activities which tourists appreciate in Tenerife is ornithology. Plenty of keen bird watchers are aware of the vast tropical nature of the island and the rare wildlife which inhabits it. Sure that probably isn't the most luring of factors to most, but there are still plenty of those who will holiday on a niche concept. If you aren't much of a birdman or a rare wildlife expert then that's cool because you can learn all that stuff at Loro Parque which is the islands popular wildlife centre. Visiting here there is less chance of you been bitten or attacked by some rabid beast, but that wouldn't happen anyway. Don't quote me on that!

If animals are your deal then I guess you might have to settle for the ancient and intricate are of beach hunting. This means that you have search for as long as you can be bothered along the coast until you find the most pristine beach which has clean golden sands and warm, shallow turquoise waters. Many have tried this and succeeded immensely along the coast of Tenerife, which is mainly down to the fact is has plenty of them. One of the beaches, in Maspalomas, was actually manmade with sands from the Sahara desert which is pretty cool and as a result makes Tenerife pretty cool too.

Sure there are plenty of things we could be all getting up to over summer, like cleaning the car, clearing the guttering, insulating the house for winter or clearing out all your junk. However, I feel that you knock that stuff right on the head as there is plenty of time for it when you're retired, and instead strut your stuff along some of Europe's divine beaches. Choices in life are hard, but this one is easy as brain surgery for a brain surgeon.
