subject: Keeping Track Of Your Silverware [print this page]

If you plan on hosting parties every now and then, you will find it easier to keep tabs on your dining ware if you make an inventory out of them. Parties tend to become chaotic and you lose some precious silverware that costs several bucks on your pocket.

There will always be incidents of breakages and accidents when it comes to parties. Children are the main culprits to these. But, there are also times when parents and the older people lose their spoons or forks or even cups into places.

But, most hosts do not notice them immediately. They are way too busy to notice that most of their dinnerwares have been shattered. Thus, an inventory is indeed needed to make sure you still have your dinnerware.

Most of the time, hosts do not do inventories. They suddenly notice that some pieces of their dining set have gone missing by the time the next party has begun. It is okay if you do not hold parties on a weekly basis but for those who do, inventory is the way to go.

You can check your dinnerware on a monthly basis and it is much better if you do your inventory while you are cleaning them to make more time. And it is much advisable that you check every piece of dinnerware you have for damages or cracks that might harm your guests.

For those who are hosting parties more often, it is good that you keep an inventory before and right after you are done with the party. This way, you will have an idea on how much dinnerware you will be putting out next time these same guests arrive. Make sure you check everything before you use them.

Once the party is over, clean them and inspect each and every dinnerware that you have before you place them back to the storage counter.

Always be prepared and have all the dinnerware ready just in case someone crashes in and have dinner over at your place. Do regular inspection and inventory over your dinnerware.
