With the improvements in technology there are smaller units now offered to connect to the bathroom faucet similar to the ones for kitchen applications. With the growing concern of water contamination, people are wanting to protect their families more and more from illnesses. One way is to ensure the water used when brushing teeth, and drinking from in the bathroom is as pure as the water from the kitchen faucet. The bathroom faucet applications are becoming more and more popular in applications where it's not feasible of cost justifiable to install a whole house filter. Some instances where people are looking to add these types of filtration systems include apartment dwellers and people with larger campers and motor homes. Mobile homes and modular homes, these filters are also becoming more common because they then to use more well water and locations to install a whole house filter may not be easily accessible for servicing with making a mess or having to crawl into tight dirty areas. Water filter for bathroom faucets will attach in the same manner as the ones designed for kitchens. A simple installation involves removing the protective screw cap on the bottom of the faucet outlet and attaching the filter base. Typical units will have the filter sticking out to one side and there will be an indicator on the cartridge to let you know when it's time to change it. There will also usually be a switch to turn so you only filter the water you want filtered and not all the water that may be taken out through the faucet.
