subject: There Was A Low Level Of Light In My Office So I Analyzed My Office Design [print this page]

The right amount of lighting is one of my prerequisites for a comfortable office. If the office is too dim or too bright, working doesn't feel natural. It might make it hard to see either way; too much light is no picnic either. When attempting to go over numbers and concepts in small fonts, with not enough or too much light getting in the way, work truly suffers for me. I find it impossible to concentrate.

Office design usually includes some type of lighting plan. The lighting for the office is important for more than the sake of appearance. Lighting is a functional part of the office too and can have a direct impact on the productivity in the office. I suggested office refurbishment on the grounds that the lighting was making it impossible for many of us to concentrate. Our boss talked it over with an office space planning company and they were able to make some helpful suggestions about what kind of lighting we needed and what would work best with the furniture design that we had going in our office.

Office design isn't one of those subjects that I know anything at all about but I do know what it's like to suffer through dim office lighting. It makes it very difficult to do the most effective job I can do. After the office refurbishment clan visited our office and redesigned everything, we're back to normal and working harder than ever before thanks to the new lighting.
