subject: Professions That Demand Plastic Surgery [print this page]

There are several reasons why someone would opt for a cosmetic surgery procedure. From aesthetic reasons to corrective surgeries, it depends on the individual and the circumstances what kind of procedure they need to go through. However, many individuals who go through plastic surgery procedures do so because they feel their job demands everything that can do to boost their appearance. While some do it freely and as per their own desires to do well in their respective careers, there are those who go for cosmetic enhancements since they feel undue pressure of their respective jobs. Some of the professions nowadays that demand plastic surgery are as follows:

1) Show business: Needless to say show business is the first profession that comes to mind when we associate jobs and cosmetic procedures. Those aspiring to be television actors, movie stars, musicians or anything where they are in front of the camera or a large crowd, always feel any added help to their appearances would make an immense difference to their growth prospects. It is not surprising then that we continually keep reading about celebrities and the several types of cosmetic plastic surgeries they have gone through. As a matter of fact, many aspiring stars use surgery to completely change the way they look. Quite often you cannot even recognize the person after all the cosmetic enhancements they have gone through. Best example of this is reality TV star Heidi Montag who many feel looks completely different after her several rounds of cosmetic surgery.

2) Sales: They say the first impression is often the last impression. No one feels the pressure of that statement more than those individuals who are in sales. Often meeting with customers, clients or while doing promotions, if you are not perceived to be at your best appearance, you end up losing the potential sale. As a matter of fact, many women say that after they went through a cosmetic surgery procedure, they were able to sell more with the exact same techniques as before. The only difference was the new found confidence and of course, the change in appearance due to the surgical and non surgical cosmetic procedures.

3) Customer Service Executives: Those who have to deal with customers face to face on a daily basis, say better their appearances, the easier it gets to deal with all kinds of customers. While this is sometimes considered as a reflection of how our society has changed over the years, it is however the reality today that appearances help in dealing with all kinds of people you interact with on a daily basis.

In fact many women especially claim that cosmetic plastic surgery has helped them deal with office colleagues as well as customers with a lot of confidence. They say that without the cosmetic enhancements, they probably would not be able to grow in their careers as fast as they can after surgery. Plastic surgery today is treated as just another tool by many individuals who want to do everything they can to achieve their professional goals in life.
