subject: Fun Halloween Games For Everybody [print this page]

Trick or treating is just one of the activities you can do for Halloween. If you are throwing a party instead, you should plan a few games so everyone can have some fun. Here are some fun ideas for Halloween games for kids of all ages that will liven up your party.

Costume Creators. While most people come dressed up to parties, tell your guests not to so they can play this game. With materials that you will be providing them, everyone will make their own costumes. You can then give awards for those who have the cutest, scariest, funniest and most creative outfits. Visit your local dollar store and second hand clothing store and get creative with supplies. Make sure you have safety pins, scissors and glue available for all your guests.

Wrap the Mummy. The objective here is to see who can wrap the mummy the fastest. Split everyone into pairs, with one person being the mummy and the other person the wrapper. Players will use toilet paper to wrap the mummy. Whoever is first at completely wrapping up their mummy, with no skin or clothing showing, wins a prize. You might want to arrange players by size to be fair.

Witches Broom Dancing. This is a variation on follow-the-leader, and all you need is a broom. Put all players in a circle. The first person takes the witch's broom and dances around the circle with it. Then, she hands it to whatever player she chooses, and that person must imitate her dance exactly. If she doesn't she sits down and another person takes a turn. The last player standing wins.

It's easy to become a kid again on Halloween night and make it a special night for everyone. You can probably even think up some variations on these games to make them even more fun for your guests.
