Swimming with Turtles - There is a great area on the south shore of the island where you can swim with turtles, a completely unique experience unlike any other. You can either go out on your own or join up with a snorkeling company to see some pretty large turtles get up close and personal with you.
Whale Watching Have a hankering to see some whales? Well, then Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge is a great place to spot a whale or two. So bring your binoculars along or rent a boat and get closer to a whale that you've ever been before.
Island Soap & Candle Works This shop is located on Kauai in the Kong Lung Center. That's on Kilauea Road on the way to the Kilauea Lighthouse. You can stop in and buy specialty candles and unique gift items made by a local artist. Plus, this is one of the few places you can get Surfer's Salve, used to soothe sunburns, rashes, bug bites, chapped lips and dry skin.
