The old formulation of the product DID contain Formaldehyde. IT DOES NOT anymore. There is minimal odor. The only thing is when I start to blow-dry the product into the hair there is a vapor that comes off the hair. We use every precaution at the salon to guarantee the results as well as your safety from the product. There is no harsh chemicals and No FORMALDEHYDE. It removed up to 80% of your curl and 100% of your frizz. The only maintenance is to use a Sulfate-free shampoo. We carry Enjoy shampoo at the salon and the entire line is Sulfate-free.
Process.
1. I shampoo your hair with the Brazilian Blowout Clarifying Shampoo 3-5 times.
2. Return to chair and I blow-dry your hair to 75%
3. Section Hair into 4 sections
4. Apply product from root to ends
5. Blow-dry the hair
6. Flat-iron the hair.
There is no need to be washed. I have in some case rewashed the hair and blow-dried it to show someone the ease of doing your hair. But this step is not necessary. If a salon is telling you that you need to wait any amount of time to wash your hair, or not put your hair in a ponytail. BEWARE!!! It is not Brazilian Blowout. There are many imposter's out there.
