subject: Indianapolis Colts Tickets - Why Colts Will Be Super Bowl Contenders In '10 [print this page]

Speculation is running rampant in the National Football League just in time for the start of the regular season, and already analysts are ranking teams expected to go all the way to the Super Bowl in 2011. The Indianapolis Colts are a hot team on the gossip front and will attempt to overcome the infamous "Super Bowl hangover" that has hampered several teams over the last few seasons (Cardinals and Steelers, we're looking at you.) Despite the pattern, the Indianapolis Colts will make it to the Super Bowl this year, and here are the top five reasons why.

5. Anthony Gonzalez is healthy. Gonzo's injury last year exposed two very solid players in Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon, but now that the receiver is back Peyton Manning will have a bevy of pass catchers to throw to. The problem for Gonzalez, however, is keeping his job at No. 1. Gonzo has recently come out to the press saying he was promised an opportunity to compete for the starting receiving job and has instead been demoted to Pierre Garcon's backup, but even if his time on the field is restricted this year Gonzalez's return will definitely boost the Indy offense.

4. An abundance of pass catchers. On same note as above, Gonzalez's return helps provide even more depth at an already stocked offense of pass catchers. The Colts now have Gonzalez, Reggie Wayne, Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon receiving and tight end Dallas Clark collecting balls, as well, marking one of the most powerful pass offenses in the league. Of course, running backs Joseph Addai and Donald Brown help make Indy's offense one of the most explosive in the league, as well.

3. Bob Sanders is back. Bob Sanders was all but a distant memory to Colts fans last season as his replacement Melvin Bullitt lit up the field. Now that he's back to 100 percent, however, the all-powerful Bob Sanders will surely make an impact on Indy's defense this season. Sanders is nightmarish on the field when he's healthy, and he'll match up with free safety Antoine Bethea to create one of the top safety tandems in the league.

2. The defense has Indy's back. Indianapolis's defense is often overlooked due to the team's prolific offense, but there's no denying the talent on this team's big D. Pass-rushers Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis get the job done, and even defensive end Jerry Hughes, the Colts' first-round pick from April's draft, could show his stuff later in the season. Add to this list names like Antonio Johnson, Dan Muir and Eric Foster and the Colts' oppositions have some big obstacles to face this season.

1. Peyton Manning - you know, the guy with the laser, rocket arm. Manning is absolutely a top seller of Indianapolis Colts tickets, and nothing will change that this season. Manning is coming off an incredible year and looks solid thus far in his short preseason cameos, and as the top quarterback in the league there's definitely some pressure for Manning to take his team all the way to the Super Bowl for the second year in a row.
