That's because you don't have to constantly update it with new information. For instance, let's say you have a review site and you're reviewing the products you're promoting. This site could stay like it is forever, unless there was something that changed with the product. There are times when you'll see that such review pages remain the same for years, without any addition of new content. You now see that creating an affiliate sales page wouldn't take much time after all. Likewise, if you have a blog or a lens on Squidoo that offers your product, you'll only need to makes sure you get enough backlinks so that you can keep the rank you got to. Now all you need to do is choose your products and what information you want to convey.

It is certainly possible to begin affiliate marketing without an initial investment, but if you want success later on you'll want to invest some money into it. An example of this would be the absolutely free article marketing. But eventually you'll want to put some money into various paid advertising platforms, like pay per click marketing or maybe even banner advertising. What you'll want to do is take some of the profits you've made from affiliate marketing and use them to expand your business. It's all about creating a strategy and working on it, which you'll understand as you move forward.

There are lots of people in the world who think affiliate marketers are nothing more than glorified spammers. This myth began when some bad people used unethical means to try and make it rich quick, and this has hurt the rest of us. But this doesn't change the way affiliate marketing works, because it's a very genuine way of selling products and getting leads on the web. If you hear anyone say that it's a waste of your effort and your hard earned cash to get into affiliate marketing, just ignore that person. Instead, learn the ropes and then put your plans into action which will lead to success.

It's easy to see why someone would believe these myths if they didn't have a clue about affiliate marketing. So educate yourself and take consistent action to see results.
