There are many type of search engine marketing in this article I will discuss some of the paid types. I will also discuss certain details but not in depth as it will be long to go through the complete details of each type. Search engine marketing is becoming the effective direct response available today as you sky rocket your traffic after you open an account.

PPC "" Pay Per Click:

This is the most common type of search engine marketing and widely known. For marketing purpose and products naming different search engine call it differently i.e. Google call it Adwords. You will first need to open an Addwords account with Google then you need to create an Ad. The account is normally approved quickly then you ad your credit card details or pay via normal invoice or BPay. The ad is normally verified by Google staff for approval after your account is completed. The ad normally appears as a sponsored links on the search result. The ad will appear on the top of search result or on the right sites labeled as sponsored links. The ad may contain main keywords with small description below it.

The ad can be controlled to be viewed within specific geographic area such as Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, you can also allocate the budget per month. The prices are different from keyword to keywords and ranges from 1Cent to 100 dollars per click depending on the competition. The keywords can be customised to be broad match or exact matched. If you select broad match then every combination of key phrase will be displayed in the sponsored links area, and if you select exact match then only the selected keyword will be displayed.
