subject: Vegetarian Low GL (glycemic load) Meal Plan [print this page]

Feeding vegetarian kids a healthy balanced diet is no small challenge for a busy parent. Meal plans are a great way of creating variety in the choice of food and recipes that you use at home.

This vegetarian low GL meal plan was inspired by Patrick Holfords "Low GL Diet" book. One of the questions one should ask before buying or makng any food is 'how close to nature is this recipe or product?'.

The further away from nature the more likely the product to be high on the glycemic index. Health problems relating to sugar imbalances are a symptom of the modern life style where almost all the food we eat is over processed and heavily preserved. These kinds of foods do not acure naturally and often put unnecessary preasure on the body. Years of eating badly will deffinatley result insome sort of 'dis-ease' in ones later life. Our recipes always consider the nutritional integrity of the meal but at the same time put a huge focus on a pleasurable eating experience.
