subject: Doctor Ratings - How To Rate Your Hair Transplant [print this page]

Hair transplants are becoming very popular and it's no wonder why. Whereas in years past bald men had little choice but to rely on various snake oils, a bad looking toupee, or a hat to cover up the fact that they were losing their hair, these transplants are like modern miracles. Unlike the "doll hair" look of yesteryear's transplants, today's surgeries are virtually undetectable, especially if you find the right physician.

But what happens when you don't find the right physician and your new hair doesn't look nearly as good as you might have hoped. Well, there used to be very little you could do about it. Today, with the internet, however, you can at least warn others not to go to a certain clinic or physician for their transplants by sharing your personal story on a widespread basis. How do you do it? Find a doctor ratings site and post up your review. Include pictures and a lot of detailed information to get your point across.

Of course, you can do the same thing if you've had a wonderful experience. Try to remember what it was like before you got your transplant. Remember how hard it was to find decent information that wasn't just hype. Well now you can help other cut through the bull with your own personal experiences. Doctor ratings help people separate the good physicians from the bad ones. But the system doesn't work unless a lot of people participate, and that means the ones with positive experiences as well as negative ones.

Before you write in to one of these doctor ratings sites, make sure you have all of your facts in order. Never exaggerate, especially when it comes to the negative aspects. Libel still applies on the internet and you don't want to get yourself in trouble by saying things that aren't true. Not to mention, if you say things that are easily dismissed, it will invalidate much of what you have to say. Keep everything truthful and honest. Share both the good and bad things you found about this particular physician and make an attempt to be as fair and impartial as possible.

If you don't feel like a doctor ratings site gave you the right forum for your opinion, look on the web for a good hair loss message board. There are plenty of them out there. Share your opinions and story there and you'll be sure to have a receptive and grateful audience.
