subject: Winning Paintball As A Team - Tips You Need To Know [print this page]

You're never alone when you play a war game like paintball. You and your friends all want to win and they're fighting right beside you.

Tactics is important in a paintball game. You have to know your team's strengths and weaknesses. As a rule, it is best to use your team's strength to win rather than trying to cover up your weaknesses. Of course you should still care about your weaknesses. If your weaknesses caused you some disadvantages, then learn ways on how to change it. Preventing the other team from exploiting your weakness is what really matters now.

Battle plans are also a requirement when you play paintball. You need to decide who's to be the designated shooter or sniper. Who will charge and start all the action for your team? In order for your team to win, these are two positions and strategies you have to determine.

With paintball, the creative side of people is also brought out. You have to make sure that your battle plan allows for a contingency plan for when mistakes happen. You are never really sure how your opponent will react when you stage a certain part of your plan. Knowing different plans that your opponent will make to counteract every thing you do is a sign of being a great general. Being a general, you shouldn't be rattled if your plans have failed. He should be able to devise new plan in the middle of the fight.

Flexibility is also required for your team when you play paintball. You can still try to hit your opponents even if you're not a designated hitter. Your team needs to understand the jobs of each teammate and when one falls, someone should be ready to carry on his job.

In paintball, it's also important that teammates have good communication with each other. Your team needs to bond and maybe even create your own signs so that you'll know what each other is thinking.

It's great if you win as a team, but if you lose then that's fine because this game is also about experiencing the hardships of playing, surviving, and losing as a team. It is in learning as a group and bonding as brothers.
