Attention mums: if you need a car to fit the whole family, an entire weeks supermarket shops, the soggy dog and a buggy, then choose this one!

It's so versatile, being nippy around town when you are running late to pick up the children from school, but really holds its own on the motorway when you need to give it some welly.

In terms of pricing, the motor is great value for money in relation to the size and space you get inside. In comparison to the other cars in its range it is slightly pricey, but being a Nissan, the parts are all fairly reliable and hopefully you won't need to get it fixed too often. If you want full safety features then you have to fork out for the top of the range model, and with this you get stability control and curtain airbags, climate control and six disc multichanger.

Inside the car there is ample space for an entire rugby team. The rear seats slide back and forth for added comfort and the controls are exactly where you expect them to be. The seats are comfortable and supportive, so if you are prone to a bad back then it's great.

The 1.5 turbo diesel is the most easy to drive, but all the models hold their own pretty well. it doesn't matter what speed you drive at either; there is so unnecessary banging or noises when you change gears. Wonderful!
