There are many ways of drying wood, and one of them is made by Stellac. With this drying system, you can basically take the sugar out of fast growing wood, and turn it into high class wood. What a tremendous way to better support the local Jepara garden, and indoor furniture industry. After treatment the wood does not split, so one of the construction problems we have with handmade furniture, could be avoided.

At the moment the local oven capacities are still too small, and many are run by small enterprises, who can not afford to look at the environmental side of their drying process. With the right fast growing wood species, we can create a furniture cycle which would not have a problem with raw material.

Exporters and local producers, could invest in their future by donating finance, per container, which would make them owner, and part of the process. These members would be able to prove they plant far more trees, than they actually use in production. The plantation company would invest in double the amount of plants, as a guarantee fund. The investor would get 1 hectare of the harvest, and the company would be paid for two. In this way, the exporter guarantees his replanting scheme, and the planting organization can give more guarantees to the investors. The end customer would be buying sustainable products. So is there any furniture companies in Indonesia interested in this idea? if so, let's get started now!About the Author:
