subject: Quentin Tarantino's Greatest Movies In Years Past [print this page]

Trying to comprise a list of the greatest Quentin Tarantino films is no easy task. It seems that every movie the man comes out with becomes a cult classic. There is no doubt that few directors have the cult following that Tarantino does. He is just that good.

But which of Tarantino's films can be considered his best? The following films are what I consider to be his best.

Reservoir Dogs ranks in as the number 63 film of all time according to the Internet Movie Database, and with good reason. This was one of Tarantino's first films, but still remains one of his best.

Another amazing movie by Quentin Tarantino that must be mentioned is a movie from the Kill Bill saga. In my opinion, it flows as one movie, but do to its length (it would be over 4 hours long if it were one movie), it had to be split up into two. Volume 1 features more fighting and action, while Volume 2 features more dialog and resolution.

One movie that absolutely has to be on any list of Tarantino films is Pulp Fiction. This is considered one of the best films of all time by many, and it comes as no surprise to those that have seen it that it ranks amongst the top 15 films of all time according to imdb.com.

Another fantastic Tarantino film is True Romance. Tony Scott actually directed this movie, but it was Quentin Tarantino who wrote the script, and it clearly shows. My favorite scene from this movie is the scene with Christopher Walken and the late Dennis Hopper. Classic Stuff.

One other film that I absolutely loved was Inglorious Basterds. My girlfriend does not like many movies, but this one won her over. That is a good benchmark for me in knowing a film is great!

Hopefully there are one or more films from the great Quentin Tarantino on this list that you have yet to see.
