It could be something as simple as what gas mileage does this get or what is the repair history like on this model. If you know that the answer to this question shouldn't be painted in a favourable light and they begin to praise the vehicle, you might want to look for a different sales person to assist you.

Another key point to keep in mind is that sales people will try to sell you the top of the line model. Your goal is to let them know you have no interested in bells and whistles that won't ever be used by you. A sales agent is welcome to begin suggesting upgrades, but when you have made it clear you are only interested in specifics of a vehicles, they should cease the process of upgrading. If they continue to push an issue, you might consider asking for help from a different individual, or simply walking away.

Something else to keep in mind is the tools that the sales person will use to help make a deal while they are working at the new car dealers as well. Some will take you out to lunch and discuss the vehicle on a less intimidating ground. Others will take you for a test drive and discuss all the pros of the vehicle while you are driving. Keep in mind that these are simply friendly gestures and shouldn't be taken into consideration when you are buying a car.

A good salesman will allow you to leave the property without pushing a sale as well. If you are cornered and begin to have an aggressive push made to buy a car, walk away. This purchase is one that you will be with for quite some time and you don't want to end up regretting it as a result of a being pressured into buying it. With this in mind, you should also have an impartial individual there that won't force you into a vehicle as well. This could be a close friend or a parent that will also have your best interest in mind as well.

New car dealers can be the best place to get a great deal, just be sure that you feel comfortable working with the individual and that they are open to listening to your concerns and provide you with the best possible service.
