Wednesday Addams Costume

Costume Materials

A white blouse/shirt with a large white collar

A black baby-doll dress OR black skirt and long sleeved top

A pair of black shoes/sandals

A pair of black and white striped tights

Makeup

White face powder

Light purple eye shadow

Optional Accessories

A rag doll

A black Wednesday wig with long braids

To pull this costume off there are a few things you can do with the materials and accessories.

The Main Costume

For the main costume you will need to put on the black dress (or skirt and top) with the white blouse underneath. The white collar of the blouse should be worn outside of the black dress and the white cuffs should be folded over the sleeves of the black dress. The black and white striped tights should be added to give a better effect, if you can't get striped tights then plain black ones will do just fine.

The Finishing Touches

Now that you have the costume put together on you will need to work on your makeup and the accessories which add the overall finishing touches to the Wednesday costume.

Firstly, you will need to apply your makeup. The white face powder should be applied lightly to the face giving the skin an overall pale appearance but not fully white. The purple eyeliner should be generously applied just under the eyes and lightly smudged with your finder to give a gloomy effect.

Secondly, you will need to get your hair to look like Wednesday's and there are a couple of ways to achieve this. You can either:

Braid your hair into two long plaits

Purchase a Wednesday Wig (the easier option)

Finally, you should cut the head off your rag doll and carry the headless doll around with you as an accessory, this will add to the overall effect.
