These small projects aren't difficult at all and they won't even take much time to do, which is good because you won't get frustrated as easily. It's also a good idea to start off with woodworking kits that come with all the tools and materials you will need to finish the project so you won't have to worry about anything else.

If you don't even have an idea of what kind of woodworking projects you might want to do, you can try browsing through woodworking magazines so you can get a few ideas or bits of inspiration for the project you should do. If you have an inkling of what you would like to make, then you should now search for the plans for your project.

You can find those plans in magazines or books, but the easiest way is through the internet. Search online for the woodworking plans you need. Just make sure that the plans you do get are detailed so that you can build relatively easier. You can even join online communities that share the same interest in woodworking as you do.

And finally, assuming that you have a plan you should now make sure that you have ample free time to do the project and finish it. You'll only be wasting your money and energy on a project if you don't even have time to spare to do it -- and do it correctly.

Keep in mind that woodworking is a hobby that demands a lot of time and patience; you should never hurry when making woodworking projects. If you do hurry, then there's a possibility that the end product wouldn't be as nice as you thought it would be. And you really should take your time when you're using extremely sharp woodworking tools to avoid getting seriously hurt.
