The mouse family always invites the mice in to eat and warm up.
One of the younger mice children Marty, especially loves to have guest visit their home. Marty can't wait to be old enough to go out into the world. He already likes to sneak and explore the big beautiful house on his own. When a guest comes to visit Marty learns as much as he can about the world beyond the big house.
There is one thing Marty loves as much as adventure and that is Christmas time. Marty knows that Santa must be the most wonderful person in the entire world. When Marty writes his Santa letter he tries to write using neat handwriting. The little white mouse hopes that he will be on Santa's nice list this year. Marty is so excited about getting personalized letters from Santa.
Tonight is special for the mouse family because all the members have showed up to help decorate the Christmas tree and write Santa letters together. This year Marty's dad brought home a real Christmas tree. The trimming from the tree of the family in the big house are perfect for a mouse sized tree. In fact, it made an enormous tree for little mice.
It made Marty proud to supply a variety of decorations. He met a girl named Hailie who lived in the big house on his last adventure. The girl sent Marty home with lots of things to share with his family. The glitter that Hailie gave Marty made the Christmas tree sparkle like it was full of magic. The colorful thread and ribbon looked marvelous on the tree. A bright yellow star button sits on the top of the tree.
Marty knew after he told Santa himself all about his adventures in the big house and meeting Hailei that he was sure to receive letters from Santa and stay on his Nice list forever.
