subject: Need Of Search Engine Optimization [print this page]

Performance optimizers are software utilities that allow you to ensure your PC is automatically optimized and its performance maximized. These tools should also allow you to keep your PC running at peak performance.

When too many of your resources are being occupied unnecessarily or beyond certain levels that you have established, the software should warn you to take immediate action.

Search engine optimization has evolved over years. In good old days, tweaking on-page parameters like meta tags, headlines, alt tags, keyword shoving and anchor texts used to fetch good results. This is less likely these days since the techniques are simple to implement. As a result there is no dearth of optimized websites.

I have come across many of them who strongly feel that after a website is launched, nothing more needs to be done. There is a perception that once a website is there in world-wide-web, it is bound to be known soon. Known to whom? Why, Google will know me is a common refrain. It is only much later that one discovers that nobody, not even Google knows his site.

Many search engine optimizers or firms will talk about website submission. In reality all that is really needed for search engines to know that your website is there is a link (from any site on the Internet) back to your site.

Some firms may talk about repeated search engine submission, but this is completely unnecessary and could actually end up hurting your rankings as the repeated blasts may be considered spam.

So many people are talking about search engine optimization, copywriter after copywriter is starting to offer it, and countless websites are telling you how to do it for yourself. Therefore making sure your site is written to appeal to the search engines.

optimizing your content is a smart thing to do. But you can't optimize your site to the point where the text is no longer readable to human beings and expect to get orders, contacts or conversions.

You can optimize your site to death, however, if you have a product that is not in demand, or at the wrong price on a poorly designed site.

The only real constant is that the sites of TRUE value, the ones that offer something relevant and important to the searcher, are generally always near the top - even after the latest algorithm shift has sent the "adversarial" crowd into a frenzy of activity as they attempt to reformulate their search engine optimization strategy.
