subject: Choosing A Leather Headboard [print this page]

A leather headboard is a great way to add a special touch to your bedroom as it's usually the center of attention in the room. There are many different options to choose from when shopping around for a leather headboard and this guide will discuss a few different options I've recently seen on the market.

When shopping for furniture there's a huge range of budgets. Below will be a few options at different price points. The first selection is a quality piece of furniture from Crate and Barrel. It's exclusively sold there and it's called the Archer Leather Headboard.

This headboard can be purchased between $999.00 and $1,099.00 (depending on the size). This bed has been receiving great ratings and customer reviews. It's inspired by a 1940's Hollywood slipper chair. The headboard has button-tufted detailing and combines subtle wings. At this price, expect it to be durable as it comes with a protective coating to protect the leather. It's made in a deep brown color and also has caramel accents at the seams, which provides more of a vintage look.

JC Penney offers a great option if you're on a tighter budget. They're carrying the Nash Bonded Leather Head Board, which is a great selection priced between $379.00 and $599.00.

The Nash headboard has an arched top that is really appealing. This headboard is protected with a combination of polyurethane, polyester and cotton materials. This headboard is durable and can withstand natural wear, sunlight and spills. They've also layered the inside with polyester foam which has made it extremely comfortable to rest against.

Horchow.com has a great selection of quality furniture. I still don't consider this extremely high-end, but it's a quality you'll be very happy with and will last a long time. If you're looking for a deep brown leather headboard, they have a great product.

The Old Hickory Tannery Headboard costs between $1,399.00 and $1,799.00 (depending on size). This elegant board has a maple frame and tufted brown leather. The frame has a hand-rubbed antique looking mahogany rubbed finish and the leather is covered with a material that's similar to heavy muslin. This leather headboard can last a lifetime!

Of course with the price, the quality will vary. However, at these specific price points, these are some of the best options I've come across. There are many options out there, so be sure to shop around before making your purchase!
