As one of the 8,000 delegates at Andrew Reynolds Bootcamp I heard exactly how he overcame the excuses and changed his life of the usual credit card debts and heavy mortgage to a multi-millionaire lifestyle. This is just a taster of what he told us.
Andrew Reynolds explained he was going show us all an alternative way of doing business during the Bootcamp weekend. He admitted that at the first seminar he ever attended, which was some 12 years ago, he had every excuse under the sun not to do anything about the information he received during that seminar.
As Andrew Reynolds told us he didn't have loads of money when he started in business. He didn't have thousands of pounds in fact he wanted to start this on a shoestring.
Andrew Reynolds gets emails from people saying unlike Andrew they don't have a big customer database. Well, as Andrew Reynolds told us at that Bootcamp neither did he to start with.
And as Andrew Reynolds further explained, he wasn't particularly smart, he couldn't boast of a University education, he went to state schools and left with just a couple of 'O' levels in woodwork and drawing.
Another excuse is the cry, "I don't have the time." At Andrew Reynolds Bootcamp he told us how the first seminar he went to was in the States. He had to fly over to America and take the time as holiday days because his boss wouldn't pay him for that time off.
This is what Andrew Reynolds also had to say to anybody with this excuse - he would turn the telly off. He worked in the evenings and weekends on his business until he got started and could give up his 60 hours a week corporate job.
As Andrew Reynolds talked more about the power of excuses, he also pointed out he had every excuse possible not to start up this amazing business model he showed us during that Bootcamp weekend. But he pushed them all aside and created a new life, an amazing life - I am now following his example and doing the same.
