However there are things that you can take advantage of on Facebook. You can join groups on Facebook where the real advertising generally takes place. There are plenty of groups on Facebook that is dedicated to network marketing and home based business opportunities. Within these groups you can post comments about your business as well as pick up tips from other people how to become more successful in your field.
Besides the groups on Facebook, there is not really a lot of other options for advertising since Facebook tends to monitor the number of friend request you can make within a certain time period and they will not allow you to send out bulk message to too many individuals.
Myspace on the other hand is a lot more open to helping you advertise whatever you would like on their site. You are able to express a lot more on your Myspace page than on your Facebook page and plenty of information can be given out about your business.
Myspace does not monitor how many people you request in 1 day in fact the more friends you acquire the better. To sum it up you have plenty of freedom on Myspace to market easier.
In conclusion I would look to devote as much time as possible to both of these sites because they are excellent sources for advertising your business online for free.
