While in the states, when the cold weather and snow are rolling in, summer is coming to Brisbane and this incredible beach area is one of the best places to spend your Christmas holidays, unless you happen to be a real traditionalist who lives for a white Christmas that is. A beautiful beach getaway can be the perfect way to spend the holidays with your family and even to ring in the New Year.

Brisbane is a wonderful place to stay and with so many wonderful attractions throughout the Queensland region, you are going to realize that it is not merely a fun filled holiday destination but also a magical holiday wonderland as there are many holiday events and decorations that make this region even more lovely throughout the holidays. Lights and events fill the streets yet the weather is amazing and you can spend, at least part of, your holiday picnicking in the park or laying around on one of the many unbelievable beaches.

There are many things to do and see that make for an excellent holiday and you might want to stop by one of the amazing local shops to pick up a small tree to decorate in your hotel room, after all it would not be Christmas without a tree. And of course some wonderful Aussie presents for the kids can be wrapped and placed beneath it.

A family holiday in Australias incredible Brisbane region can be a fantastic way to celebrate the holiday and you may even want to bring the extended family with you for your Brisbane Christmas. Throughout December there will be wonderful holiday events. Beginning on December 11th you'll be able to enjoy a fun filled day of free activities with Christmas on Kianawah which is followed up by a holiday event on December 19th called Christmas in Tambourine Village. Immediately following Christmas Day you can experience a rail display called Day out with Thomas which is put on by the Workshops Rail Museum and includes lots of fun activities for the whole family including story telling, arts and crafts and even a bouncy house. During this same period of time there is also music and arts festival in Brisbane called the Woodford Folk Festival which is another fun family event.

If you're planning to stay in Brisbane to ring in the New Year then you are in for a real treat with the New Years Eve Gala which is an orchestra concert and of course there will be fireworks, a dance festival, and an outdoor movie screening of many of the top movies of the year. Staying in Brisbane can add more magic to your holiday season so book early and stay for the entire season. This fabulous destination will make just about anyones holiday fantastic.
