We then move on to the uncommon infected which you will meet less often by strategically placed throughout the game to keep you and your buddies on your toes. As long as you don't get too close, or point your flashlight at her, the witch can be passive and avoided. She is normally located just off the normal route, but can easily be found by accident and disturbed. As mentioned in versus mode, there are several zombies that you can play as. The boomer is perhaps the most annoying- vommiting a bile at you that temporarily blinds you and also attacts the infected. Thus it is well worth keeping your distance from him and his vommit. He is slow and has low health so can be killed from distance, beware though, when he is killed his bile will splatter any nearby survivors. In terms of how fast he'll run at you, the hunter is quite like the fast zombie known from Half Life 2. Looking more like a chav than a zombie in terms of appearance! He can scale walls with ease with his excellent agility. He will pounce and pin down survivors until death like a cat, unless another survivor knocks him off. They also dont have much health and so dont take much to take down.The smoker likes to ambush there victim and can strangle them with his long tongue. Once you are strangled you'll need another survivor to cut you loose. Impairing their vision as well, they emit a smoke. You can be sure of a smoker's presence by a coughing noise.
