subject: Adopting Adwords For Seo & Article Marketing For The First Time [print this page]

If you are a newcomer to the World Wide Web when it comes to having a website, you can get lost in the jungle extremely fast. How do you tell the world that you have something to offer if they can't find you to begin with? Try this helpful advice to get you started!

You need to forge an ad and advertise. Just like in any buying and selling on or offline line you need to grab the person's attention and get them to click and visit you. If your ad doesn't sound good, you will be left in the dust and they will go somewhere else.

A way to do this is through Google Adwords. Go to Adwords and create an account. You do not need to pledge any money to start, but will cost you depending on the keywords you choose. After creating an account, investigate and look around. They have fantastic tools to teach you along the way.

Lets do an ad based on article marketing (as an object but your business will be the main topic of your ad). In order to place an ad about article marketing, there will be lots of competing sites with those words. Article marketing is considered a keyword. It can be one word or even a phrase. A keyword is what someone will type into a search engine on what they are looking for. So, if you went to Google and typed in article marketing, a lot of ads would pull up. Look at some of their advertising. What grabs your attention? Would you click on this ad?

Now, go back to Adwords and go to Opportunities, Tools, and look for Keyword Tool. Now type in the words "article marketing". Now, after the results comes up, look at the left side bar menu. Down at the bottom is Match Types. Broad is usually checked. Instead choose Exact. Then, try Phrase as individual searches for both. What you will be using now for a keyword instead of a Broad or general search is what you really sell.

You build up article marketing but maybe article writing and article spinning as well. So, type this in. Look at all the report given to you. This information helps you decide what type of ad you need to write to drive traffic to your website. You cut out the junk and clutter and give the searcher what they are looking for specifically. Make an allowance on how much you can use on advertising and start small. Then, build it up more as traffic increases. Also, you can adjust your ads by adding a few more words or reducing words out. Or make two unique ads and keep track of which one brings in more traffic. Just by changing a word around can make a big difference!

Get clever ideas by playing with words. It can astound you what people are looking for and the information can change continually. By creating ideas, you could discover the next big thing someone has been searching for all along.
