subject: Justin Bieber Tickets - Justin Bieber Sells Out Madison Square Garden Concert [print this page]

He may only be 16 years old, but Justin Bieber has already sold out New York's Madison Square Garden! The Canadian pop sensation brought Bieber fever to the iconic New York venue on Aug. 31, reports Billboard.com, and told the audience, "I've got a lot of surprises for you tonight" right at the start of the show.

The "surprises" came in the form of a star-studded array of guest appearances ranging from Miley Cyrus, Jaden Smith and Sean Kingston to Usher, Ludacris and Boyz II Men. The stars weren't just on hand to show their support, however, as the gig was taped for Bieber's upcoming 3D biopic.

After opening the show with "Love Me" off his debut album My World 2.0, which gave way to Bieber fever less than a year ago, Justin brought Boyz II Men onstage to assist him on a new single called "U Smile." Bieber then returned the favor, performing Boyz II Men's "On Bended Knee" with the group a cappella. Bieber dedicated the ballad to his mom and explained, "These people are the ones who made me want to start singing."

Justin performed the grown-up R&B song "Runaway Love" and "Never Let You Go" next, followed by an acoustic medley of his own "Favorite Girl" and Kanye West's "Heartless"-telling the crowd, "This is for you, Kanye." Although West wasn't at Madison Square Garden, the rapper did recently remix Bieber's "Runaway Love" with Wu Tang Clan's Raekwon.

Before performing "One Less Lonely Girl" (during which be brought a young fan on stage to receive a dozen red roses!), Bieber told the audience, "When I was in my heart and I was flying above you guys, I feel like I saw that one special girl." Once he was done serenading "that once special girl," Bieber brought Usher onstage for "Somebody to Love." Next up, Miley Cyrus filled in for his usual duet partner (opening act and Island Records labelmate Jessica Jarrell) on "Overboard."

Bieber then confided to his fans, "There's gonna be times in your life when people tell you you can't sell out Madison Square Garden. This is what I tell them." With that, the beat of Karate Kid soundtrack anthem "Never Say Never" sounded and 11-year-old star of the film Jaden Smith (yes, Will Smith's son) joined him on stage.

After renditions of "Nowhere But Up" and "That Should Be Me," opening act Sean Kingston joined Bieber onstage for "Eenie Meenie." Bieber slowed things down and performed "Down to Earth," a ballad dealing with his parents' divorce, before capping off the show with "Baby," his lead single off My World 2.0. Fans that weren't in the Big Apple to see Bieber's sold-out MSG gig can get Justin Bieber tickets to see him on tour through December.

Footage from Bieber's current tour, along with backstage and home videos, will appear in the as-yet-untitled 3D biopic on the pop sensation. Chronicling Bieber's meteoric rise to pop stardom, the film will hit the big screen on Feb. 11, 2011, confirms Paramount Pictures, and may be directed by David Guggenheim, the Oscar-winning director of An Inconvenient Truth. Bieber tweeted about the project in early August, saying, "Next Valentine's we r coming with a major D movie telling the story with an Oscar winning director and also film in the four at MSG in NYC!!"
