The Statute of Liberty sits in the harbor right off Manhattan. A gift from France, this monument pays tribute to all the immigrants that settled in the US and helped to make this country the diverse nation that it is today. Ferry trips provide a way to get across to the Statute of Liberty for tours.

Times Square holds something for everyone. Here are large screens showcasing many of the numerous television shows shot in the city. The famous New Year's Eve celebration takes place here every year and the square is packed with people from around the world. Times Square also features numerous restaurants, theaters and famous spots.

The Empire State Building is a landmark for the city. It is an amazing architectural structure that allows visitors to travel to the top to get a great view of the city.

Yankee Stadium, home to the New York Yankees baseball team, is another spot to stop and see while in the city. If you happen to visit during baseball season you may even get a chance to watch a game.

You also will want to stop on Broadway to see one of many plays. The performances here are legendary with actors coming from around the world to perform on the stages of the Broadway theaters.

As of September 2011, you can visit the 9/11 memorial which is located at the site of the former twin towers of the World Trade Center. The memorial pays tribute to all the people who lost their lives in the 9/11 terrorist attacks and those who lost their lives in the 1993 terrorist bombing at the World Trade Center.
