subject: Champions of hype, The Dallas Cowboys [print this page] What a way to start the season Dallas Cowboys.Starting the seaon off 0-2 , and to be kind, looking pathetic in doing so. And to beperfectly blunt, not exactley againstcream of thecrop teams. There is plenty of blame to go around too. Not all can blamed on Roy Williams who seems to betake a bashing whenever theCowboys lose, but his fumble was costly. It's the same problems that have plagued thisteam over the last few years.Costly penalities, turnovers, lack of turnovers created by the defense, questionable play calling, poor field goal kicking, poor tackling at key moments, andgut feeling of not playingwitha sense of urgency.
The entireoff season I've been hearing and reading how the team improved, by having a younger and more athletic left tackle in Doug Free, who seems to be playing okay, I've not seen his man blow by and maim Romo. Receiving depth by adding Dex Bryant, who has lived up to his hype in his limited roll, but his that's a problem, a limited role. The team has excuses for everything too. They have struggled the entire preseason and again all I read and heard was,"It's just preseason, we will be alright when the season starts, and Dez didn't play". They lose to aundermaned Washington Redskins teamand all I heard was, "We didn't play with two offensive lineman." They lose to a Chicago Bear team who basically stole their first win by an obscure rule. I can't wait to hear the excuseswhy they lost today. The Cowboys playwith the pervialable attitude that they can flip the switch when they want too. Well they better start flipping the switchbecause they have a tough schedule coming up with games against the Texans, Giants, and Colts. They're lucky Minnesota has staggered out of the gate.
Since last year all I've been hearing is that you , will be the first team to host the super bowl in your home stadium. Right now the only they way they will be at the Super Bowl is Jerry ifsells them standing room only tickets.
