So many reasons or events in our daily life can cause unwanted stress and panic, yet there are ways that help you to manage your stress and panic situations.

Certain events in life like leaving your first home, death of any close family member or friend, traffic jam, divorce or separation are more than enough to trigger stress. This stress and panic conditions can be more severe for people having asthma. The important question that often raised by asthma patients is how stress and other psychological factors affect them? Different research works has been carried out in this regard, but none of them has reach to any conclusion. Work is still going on locating the relationship between asthma and stress. But by far the evidences show that stress plays a vital role in exacerbating the symptoms of asthma. Although, the evidences that show stress adversely affect the asthma are still in controversial, but still it is a good idea to reduce the stress phases from your life. Stress in itself is a big problem, a stressed person cannot concentrate on his work or may be therefore may not be able to follow the asthma medication plan properly.

If you think that you are often fell victim of stress, stress management would be a good idea. You can attend American Heart Association, local YMCA, hospitals and adult education centers for stress management classes. Those who are lucky can have these classes in their workplaces as well. Be in touch with your physician and local hospital authorities who are in a better position to tell you on stress management seminars in your locality. You can register yourself for a class or you can take help from different resources to learn some stress management techniques, such as, meditation, deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation.

Following are given some of the stress management techniques that will help you to manage your stress:

-One important factor to reduce stress is to reduce your work burden. There are many things which need not to be done. Learn to say no to such tasks.

-It is important to have a proper sleep. Go to bed early and wake up fresh in the morning.

-Avoid beverages and medications rich in caffeine.

-Always go for a balance diet. Eat on time and with proper eating etiquette.

-Always spare time for yourself in which you can relax or do some relaxing tasks like reading, gardening etc.

-During your work hours, take frequent breaks to take some rest. Overburden of work can cause stress.

-Make exercise a part of your daily routine. Different exercises help you relieve stress.

-Shore your feelings with your loved ones or close ones. This will help you to reduce your stress. And you feel mentally relaxed.
