subject: Finding The Right Wholesale Suppliers [print this page]

Finding the right supplier for products you want to resell is extremely important. There are good and bad suppliers in the products that you are seeking. The bad news is, most of them will be bad because they cannot meet your price or supply quantity requirements. You have to do some work to filter out the bad ones and pick out the good ones. We will take a look at some of the factors in evaluating a supplier include trustworthiness, customer service, supply ability and price.

Every supplier has their strength in the particular products they supply. Strength could mean the number of styles, the design, build quality and prices. If a supplier sells only iPod Accessories, for example, they are more likely to be more professional than other suppliers who sell a little of everything. The reason is simple, the supplier who focuses on one particular niche will likely have a larger volume and hence they will be able to negotiate a much more competitive price from the factory.

Needless to say, the success of your business depends on your ability to find and partner with good suppliers. Here are some of the important factors in choosing a good supplier.

1.The supplier must be trustworthy. They must provide some kind of contact information such as address. You can always do a search on search engines on the prospective supplier to see if there are any bad comments about the company.

2.They should have good customer service. Try to ask them some questions and see how soon they reply.

3.Supply ability is whether they can meet the quantity requirement you wish to buy. This go both ways; you might want to buy in small quantities and the supplier have a minimum order and you might buy a lot and the supplier isnt able to supply the quantity you need. Finding a supplier that is able to supply the quantity you need is the key.

4.Their prices should be reasonable. I say reasonable because you will always find a lower price if you buy in huge quantity or with another supplier. But dont fall for the trap of overstocking for the sake of getting a good price. You should find a supplier that can supply at the quantity level you are seeking.
