Do you believe that statement? Have you ever thought about it? "Your imagination is the preview to life's coming attractions." Your imagination is where you create your life. So you may want to spend more time paying attention to what is going on in there.
There is creative power in your intention. And there is also creative power in your "non-intention". When you purposefully focus on something - with intention to accomplish something through this focus, you will achieve it. However, the same happens for your unintentional creations conjured up in your imagination.
How often have you been faced with a challenge, and then you play out a negative scenario about the outcome in your imagination? And by the way, this negative scenario is based on your very limited conscious knowledge. You make assumptions, sometimes negative assumptions, based on that limited conscious knowledge.
Now it doesn't seem like a negative outcome to your challenge is your intention. But simply by working out a negative scenario in your head, you unintentionally create it in your imagination. You plant the seed. So how do you stop it?
The good news is that positive energy vibrates much more strongly than negative energy. So all you have to do is refocus your attention - your INtention to the outcome you desire, which is probably based on a positive scenario.
Try this experiment.
-- Make a decision to pay attention to all of your thoughts for one day.
-- As you pay attention to your thoughts, remember that you are creating your life with every thought you think.
-- Each time a negative thought enters your imagination, immediately think of something that pleases you. Think of something that makes you smile, that makes you tingle with happiness and stay on that thought - play out a positive scenario with that thought until the energy from the negative thought has faded away.
-- Allow yourself to do this. This will take time out of your day, but the more you practice, the easier it will become and the less time it will take to refocus onto feeling good.
-- Once you've gotten pretty good at refocusing your imagination onto something that feels good, kick it up a notch. Whatever the negative thought is that needs enlightening, create a positive scenario in your mind of what would make you the happiest instead. Play it out. See it in pictures. Feel the sensation of "happy", of "feeling good" as you witness in your imagination your life working out the way you want it to.
-- Then make a decision to pay attention to all of your thoughts all of the time. Slowly, you'll learn how to change any negative thoughts into positive energy. And that positive energy will attract the good things in your life that you truly desire.
-- Keep at it. You absolutely deserve to have fun and enjoy yourself. Smile, laugh out loud and go for it!
