The phone is powered by a 1 GHz processor alongside an impressive 768 megabytes of RAM (random access memory) allowing you to perform a vast number of tasks at the same time with multiple applications running. The internal storage memory is also 1.5 gigabytes, supported by a microSD card slot with SD 2.0 compatibility.

The Desire HD has an 8 megapixel colour camera with both auto focus and dual LED flash , and also featuring face detection and built-in effects such as depth of effect and vignette to name but two. The camera is also capable of High Definition video recording in 720 pixel resolution, ready for playback in equal quality. Images and videos are also automatically location tagged (Geotagging). With HTC Sense you can instantly share your images and videos too, by multimedia message, email or via social networks such as Facebook or Twitter.

The internal GPS antenna provides you with constant location based services also, including Locations which allows you to explore maps in their entirety, and with no waiting. Navigate meanwhile, allows you to navigate your way from A to B. Other connectivity offered by the handset includes Bluetooth 2.1 with enhanced data rate (EDR) including the A2DP wireless stereo profile for headsets when listening to music, in addition to the 3.5mm audio Chadic connection for standard headphones. The phone also has a Standard micro-USB (USB 2.0) connection, with Wi-Fi tethering.

The HTC Desire HD is an impressive update to its predecessor, offering greater vibrancy and high definition video playback and recording on a larger screen. It also has an updated operating system with the hardware to match offering an even faster and seamless experience when running multiple applications. In addition to this it now features a more powerful camera and still offers the HTC Sense interface and many widgets for easy social networking.
